The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) approved the Ione Band Development Corporation in 2012 as a Federally Chartered Corporation as authorized by Section 17 of the Indian Reorganization Act, 25 U.S.C §477. The Ione Band Development Corporation (IBDC) was established to support the tribe in accomplishing its mission and objectives.

It is the mission of the Ione Band of Miwok Indians to empower our people to achieve a better way of life and maintain tribal integrity and honor through responsive government. The IBDC shall serve as an essential tool in assisting the Tribe in its pursuit for financial independence and security. Its primary purpose is to provide the tribe and its citizens with resources, employment opportunities, development projects that uphold tribal values, and build sustainable relationships within the communities in which our business entities reside.

We are actively interested and vetting business opportunities that support our vision for
growth on both fee and trust lands.
